I cultivated a fascination and personal connection with nature while growing up and working on the coast of Maine. The study of ecological and evolutionary processes fulfills my intrinsic desire to address ultimate questions for why life is wondrous and complex.

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in biology. My research interests involve the specialization and diversification of relationships between symbiotic organisms. In addition to research and teaching, I am passionate about impact-based science outreach and strives to make science accessible and inclusive.

I'm currently majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with minors in Anthropology and Microbiology. Apart from lab work, I also participate in several clubs on campus, including the Pre-Health Honors Fraternity, the Foundation for the International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC), and THON. I am also a member of the Penn State Blue Band. After the completion of my studies at Penn State, I hope to matriculate to medical school in order to continue my education.
