opportunities - post-doctoral fellows
We do not currently have any available post-doctoral positions but interested parties are recommended to contact Todd (firstname.lastname@example.org) about potential avenues of obtaining funding, including the Penn State Eberly Research Fellows Program.
opportunities - graduate students
We are always eager to hear from prospective graduate students interested in the Penn State Biology program. Before applying, interested prospective students are highly encouraged to contact Todd (email@example.com) to discuss potential projects, funding sources, and to see if you are a good fit for the lab/this lab is a good fit for you. Additionally, prospective students are welcome to contact current graduate students to gain perspective on life at Penn State and in the lab. Applicants are highly encouraged to submit their applications in November to ensure full consideration for internal fellowships in addition to applying for external (Ex: NSF GRFP, NDSEG, Ford Foundation, NOAA Nancy Foster, Hertz) fellowships. For information on application fee waivers for universities in the Big Ten Academic Alliance, see here.
opportunities - undergraduate students
We are interested in undergraduate students who are able to make an academic year-long commitment to the lab (3 hours of lab time per research credit) or who wish to carry out a thesis-level project in the lab. Interested undergraduates should contact Todd (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a brief description of their motives for obtaining research experience, a CV/resume, and unofficial transcript.
